At Pine Rock Manor, our senior living community amenities are designed with senior comfort and safety in mind. Each of our senior apartments is equipped with an emergency response system in room, and we have convenient safety features in our bathrooms. Our locked community also features an elevator for easy access to all floors. On our staff, we have nurses, an on-staff physician, medication care managers, and a podiatrist that makes regularly scheduled visits, with on-call access to doctors. We have on-staff nurses 7-days a week, with nurses and LPNs available on-call afterhours. With our 24-hour awake staff, our residents receive around-the-clock support and supervision.
Yes, we have a specialized memory care program that’s specifically designed to create a safe and nurturing space for seniors facing memory loss. We design our memory care program to offer activities that trigger positive memories, stimulate the senses, encourage social bonding, improve cognition, and inspire affected seniors to feel more engaged with life. From art classes to hand massages to active games and story time, we offer a variety of activities for all of our memory care residents to enjoy!
At Pine Rock Manor, we are happy to provide a variety of scheduled transportation for our residents. We do have dedicated on-call doctors, podiatrists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, and physical therapists, but if a resident needs to see a specialist, we can help provide scheduled transportation options to any appointment in the area. Additionally, for resident activities or outings, we always provide transportation, and have a dedicated bus driver to ensure the residents’ safety. We take regular trips to nearby attractions, and are committed to offering amazing experiences for our residents.
When it comes to memory care, it’s important for residents to stimulate their mind with sensory activities. Our Illuminations programming is designed around connecting memory care residents with their surroundings, through walks, baking, crafts, pet therapy, and more. Plus, we have regular activities and events designed for residents and their friends and family. Be sure to learn more about the kinds of activities, meetings, and events we have planned by viewing our monthly newsletters and calendars, available here.
Respite care is temporary, short-term assisted living for seniors. This is a wonderful option for seniors who may not be ready for a long-term commitment, but want to give assisted living a try. Respite care services can also provide short-term support for seniors whose primary caregiver may be out of town or who may temporarily need a bit of extra support after a hospital stay or surgery.
